About me:

Claire Byrne

Yoga for the Real World

My Background

I come from a professional background in mental health, having practiced in primary care as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist for 17 years.

This knowledge and experience, coupled with my own naturally stiff and inflexible physiology, drew me to realise that physical and mental well-being are inextricably linked.  I found my passion in this way: Yoga.

During my yoga teacher training I discovered that I have a strong interest in anatomy – the result of 2 injuries (hip & wrist) and my realisation of how much anatomy impacts our everyday lives. My teaching style embraces this often overlooked aspect, thus increasing safety and adding depth of interest.

I went on to undertake specialised training in Pregnancy & Post-Natal Yoga, Preventing & Managing Yoga Injuries, as well as Chair Yoga.
I currently accept referrals from chiropractic and physiotherapy professionals to assist in the rehabilitation of injuries.

I have four children, two cats and a husband – all of whom enjoy yoga in their own ways.
